Ditto to Mike. You think they'd figure out that we should maybe stop spending money on stuff we don't need when our economy nearly collapses, but I guess not.

Theres the government, then theres the people. Gov. makes all military and such decisions. Citizens don't have a choice in it, so either take it up with our government or suck it up. If it were my choice, we'd be busy fixing our economy instead of worrying about Egypt or Libya. And Im sure the Japanese are capable of caring for themselves.

Wrong. This is a government BY the people. It's up to us to keep our government in check. There's a deep flaw in simply allowing people like Bush and Cheney to decide whether it's a good idea to invade Iraq or not. That's the reason why the U.S. Declaration of Independence states that it's the people's "duty" to overthrow an abusive government. "Duty," not choice. We have neglected our responsibilities and when we stray from our revolutionary ideals, we lose our freedom.
