+340 There are like, 8 billion people in the world. To think that hateful ideas such as racism and bigotry will ever be completely erased is a stretch. Let's just roll with what we got, amirite?

*7 billion, we hit this year. Had to say it.

No Wayers: Seriously?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I know, right? Who says "No Wayers"?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

@1178002 (Credetemi): @1177978 (Chauncy Pickles): maybe the no wayers think that things like that could be erased. kids arent born racist, its something theyve been taught

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well, not to speak on behalf of Credetemi or wowzah, but I think the topic at hand is the structure and practicality of the term "no wayers".

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(Chauncy Pickles): the term no wayers is not structered or practical? i have no idea what youre trying to say plesae rephrase

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Umm... let me think... Well, No Wayers does not seem to be a practical term for those who click NO WAY on a post because the same ending does not adapt clearly to those who click YES YOU ARE.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(Chauncy Pickles): so basicley you were doing a continuation of your origional comment and not actually replying to what i said about kids not being born racist. gotcha

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I no way'd for two reasons. 1.) There are almost 7 billion people, not 8 billion. 2.) There is still so much hate and discrimination that we can't just "roll with what we got". even though we will never completely rid the world of discrimination, that doesn't mean that we should just stop trying to end it.

And let's start on Friday. Not on Thursday, which comes before Friday, Saturday, which comes after Friday, or Sunday, which comes after Saturday.

I was going to call this comment random, but I just confirmed with my insurance provider that my insurance does not cover an instance involving a giant yogurt cup falling onto me from the sky. Not because the instance is so specific and unlikely, but because they only cover giant pudding cups.

(Chauncy Pickles): How unfortunate. You should really switch to SONY when you buy your next TV, it's way better, believe me.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually, it's been rescheduled to Tuesday of next week because I have to pick Laetitia up from basketball practice tomorrow.

(Chauncy Pickles): I tried to control myself, but I just couldn't do it, and Mr. Biggles was covered with ejaculatory fluids.

I TOLD Irene that the roses were to be delivered post HASTE, not post PARDEM! Then Irene started crying, so I decided it would be easier for me to complete the task myself. Does that make me a bad boss?

(Chauncy Pickles): When I saw the black guy running towards me in the dark alley, I started to run toward the lights. It turns out, though, that he was being chased by cops, and as he ran past me, he threw his marijuana at me, and I can't remember anything from then on.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I doubt they will ever be COMPLETELY erased. But that doesn't make it right. I don't see a reason not to keep teaching the coming generations that it's wrong and fight to keep it out of our lives and the lives of others; the fact that it can't be completely annihilated shouldn't be an excuse to give up fighting it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

"Let's just roll with what we got" These words sound like they come from someone who has never been truly discriminated against. There are still horrible hate crimes going on, and if we just accept these crimes, they are going to continue. Imagine if Martin Luther King Jr. had just "rolled with what he got". It takes someone to stand up and say "this is not acceptable" to cause change in society, and if we just give up because things seem good enough, there won't be anymore progress.

OP's next post: There are like, 1 billion deaths every year. To think that we can eradicate death is a stretch; fuck hospitals, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Doesn't mean we can't try. As Mr. Smith once famously said "Lost causes are the only causes worth fighting for".
