+287 Easter is the only time of year where it makes sense to hide your flamboyant, chocolate covered eggs which were laid by a bunny around your house in order to honor a carpenter who was nailed to wood and became a zombie. amirite?

man these posts are so annoying

Jesus did not become a zombie. If you're making reference to Religion atleast get it right.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I know the story; It's just funnier than saying he was resurrected, don't get your panties in a notch.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

When you degrade religious stories, someone will get pissed off. Live by those words and you'll extend your life expectancy by 3 years.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ok, I don't want to start shit because I know what will happen, but I hardly find that degrading. If saying Jesus was a zombie is degrading than saying Brad Pitt is a doctor is degrading, and I don't think talking smack about religion will increase my life expectancy. Are you going to assassinate me?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No, but other fanatics will. You seem awfully quick to judge after calling the pivotal difference between two of the world's largest religions a mindless flesh-eating beast. Besides, Brad Pitt would be perfectly happy to hear that he makes tons of money while saving lives.

How do you know zombies can't be people, too? Have you met one? They could be good people, and I would be honored to be the world's first zombie (after I'm dead). Also, as respected as a doctor is, I think Brad is a little more happy with his acting career and would be pretty baffled if someone called him a doctor.

Baffled, but not distressed. Speak for yourself, but it's a lot easier to avoid hardcore hate if you don't call a god a zombie.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Fine, I didn't think this would be enough to start a huge debate (Please don't continue off of this statement). (Jesus BTW)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wait...I thought that's how you celebrated passover? I think I'm doing something wrong.

Easter is technically a pagan holiday. The goddess "Ishtar" (I think that's it), is the goddess of fertility, and it is related to Easter.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yup! And Eggs and bunnies are symbols of fertility as well, thus their place. Chocolate also has some significance, but it's only semi-religion related.

And bring on the religous banter ...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Neh. The chocolate bunnies and easter eggs part of Easter isn't "in honor" of Jesus' resurrection. That's part of, for lack of a better term, the paganism of the holiday.

Interesting summary...
