+541 Imagine being a woman in the Olympics and getting your period on the day you have to compete. Having cramps during your sport would really suck, amirite?

record and watch and see if she does the cramp dance

This doesn't usually happen, because they train so hard and have so little body fat that they don't get their periods.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Oh, I never even thought of that!

and even if their period didn't stop they would probably use the pill to regulate it so it doesn't happen during the Olympics.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah, I was thinking about this. I bet they must plan for it when they use birth control, or do the 4 periods a year one.

It doesn't take much planning. Just don't stop taking the pill until the Olympics are over. Technically you can take the pill everyday and just never get your period. (NOT a good idea though, because you need to "excrete" some hormones/waste and regulate them)

Or just get the shot and don't have periods for 2 years.

With all that exercising, they probably wouldn't get a period. But it is possible, and that would suck ass if they did.

That's what ibuprofin is for.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

actually, ibuprofin is a blood thinner, so it's not good to take it when you're on your period.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Really? I've always heard that you're supposed to take ibuprofen to relieve cramps. What would you recommend taking instead?

midol

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Uhm you know that those are both the same thing right...? Midol is just the brand name.

The more you work out and train..the lighter your period and less cramps..Atleast for me(:
