If you would read about eminem more, you would know that it was one of his dreams since 16 to sample that song and make his own song out of it, and it was like a dream come true to him when he finally did. Not just like "Oh hey, people listened to this back then, let me make a rap out of it." The song's pretty deep too if you read up on the lyrics.

I really hate when people say, "He raps about life, so he's totally the best and blah blah blah." He DOES sound like a douche for cussing every other word, and there are plenty of other rappers who rap about their sad lives and get no credit for it. I think rap is tasteless anyhow. He just uses sob stories to get people to like him.

This. Throwing in a line about raising his daughters doesn't cancel out all the stuff he says about drugs, sex, women, violence. You can like Eminem that's no problem, but if you claim that he doesn't rap about the aforementioned topics then you're a liar.

Yes, Eminem does have some freaky songs, and raps about drugs a lot. But he's been through a tough life, and he was even on the brink of suicide at one point. Some songs about drugs are from past experiences, and the songs he has about life further explain it. If you hear songs like "Kill you", yeah, he was strange back then, but he explained himself, he was really on drugs until relapse, and recovery is when he was out of it all. I can see why some people hate him, but I am a big fan myself, and to come this far as a rapper, and surpass many mainstream artists, there has to have been a reason.

Haters gon hate. I don't like Eminem because he's white or he raps about "life". I like him because he's the best rapper since Biggie and Pac. Yes, his recent stuff may appear deep and inspiring, but the reason he is so famous now is that he put out some I'll rhymes back and the day.
