"Kyle: It's the kindergarten teacher, Ms. Stephenson.
Police Sergeant: The blonde?
Kyle: Yeah.
Policeman #1: Some young boy is having sex with Ms. Stephenson?
Kyle: Yes.
Policeman #1: Niiice.
Police Sergeant: Niiice.
Kyle: What? No, you don't understand...
Policeman #1: You sure they've had sex?
Kyle: Yeah!
Policeman #2: Has she performed oral sex on him?
Kyle: I think so.
Policeman #2: Niiiice.
Policeman #1: Niiiice!
Policeman #2: Niiiiiicccce.
Police Sergeant: So, wait. What's the crime?
Policeman #1: The crime is she isn't doing it with me.
Kyle: Hey! He's totally underage. She's taking advantage of him!
Police Sergeant: You're right. We're sorry. This is serious. We need to track this student down and give him his "Luckiest Boy in America" medal right away. "

Haha, that's actually where I got the inspiration.
But, yeah, teachers having sex with students is still an abuse of power, and if they're underage, it's still statutory rape, regardless of gender. Even though most rape is male-on-female, pretending that female-on-male or same-sex rape doesn't happen harms both sexes.
I've only heard of one major case where the female teacher went to jail.
Like, obviously in most cases it is a male teacher, so you are going to hear about them more, but I remember reading in a few places where a female one got off easy.
I'll try and find some links.
Yeah so did I until I looked into it. I guess because on the surface it looks like they are, but there are more things to take into consideration than just teacher + sex with a student = x amount of jail time. Just like every other crime. I think the media plays a big role in people's thinking of the issue.
And, obviously any sex with students is an abuse of power, but if they're under 16 it's worse, and that study says that out of the very few female teacher that do have relations with students, even less of them do it with underage students.

But what if they're hot...
Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice
I'm not sure if I have my facts right, but I'm pretty sure in a majority of cases that they are...

Thanks, that's pretty interesting.
I actually did think that female teachers were given more slack, but that article, plus some more statistics I looked up, proves different.
