I mean to learn. I find that I do learn quite a bit from reading, but it doesn't top experience.

Yes, but it's good to confirm that your life is not an anomaly. I think a lot of prejudices could start that way (say you grow up in a bad neighborhood that's mostly one ethnicity so you assume that all people of that ethnicity are bad. It'd take a jerk to make that assumption, but it could happen).
