(√-1) (2^3) Σ (inverse cos(-1)), and it was good, amirite?
by Anonymous14 years ago
For those that don't get it;
(√-1) is an imaginary number denoted by 'i'
(2^3) is 2 x 2 x 2, which is '8'
Σ is the greek letter capital Sigma, used as short hand for 'sum'
(inverse cos(-1)) = π, or 'pi'.
(i)(8)(sum)(pi), and it was good.
Because sometimes, you have to spoil the joke for people to get it.

Thanks- I got all of them except Sigma. I've just always called it sigma, not sum.
by Anonymous14 years ago
I was doing the last part in degrees instead of radians -_-
by Anonymous14 years ago
i 8 sum 180... WHAT THE FUCK IS 180 AND WHERE CAN I GET SUM???
by Anonymous14 years ago
cos(-1) is 180. inverse cos(-1) is completely different
by Anonymous14 years ago
In degrees, cos(-1) is a bit less than 1. Inverse cos(-1) is 180 degrees, plus or minus 360n, since cosine is a periodic function.

ask Pedobear.
by Anonymous14 years ago
Thaaanks for spoiling it. I'm smart, but I'm not that smart. ._.
by Anonymous14 years ago
I'm loving that comment instead of favoriting the post. Becuase if I do it the other way around, I'll never know why the hell I favorited it in the first place.
by Anonymous14 years ago
I was doing it in degrees, and I didn't abbreviate sigma so I got "I ate sigma 180" and was very confused.

I have a t-shirt of this :D
by Anonymous14 years ago
cool story bro
by Anonymous14 years ago
Oh my God! I can't believe it, I'm finally meeting you! I am your biggest fan!

I've seen a shirt like that for RPI as well.
by Anonymous14 years ago
I don't get the T-Shirt. Can you explain?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Each section comes from a mathematical equation.
E=Mc^2 >> M=E/c^2
I stands for imaginary and is represented by √-1 >> I=√-1
PV=nRT >> T=PV/nR
It spells out MIT

Oh, I wondered how people knew what college he went to...
by Anonymous13 years ago
wow i totally did not even think about that :P lol i was like trying to make acronyms :P
by Anonymous14 years ago
SOMEBODY POST ANOTHER ONE, THESE ARE FUN
by Anonymous14 years ago
How about this one- (Ar: 238.02891) (Domain: {y=sin x}) (a/b) if you solve this.
by Anonymous14 years ago
(Your+name+(optional)): hmm... argon sine curve... Am I anywhere near it? :P
by Anonymous14 years ago
not really sort of with the first part
by Anonymous14 years ago
I just realized it'll suck if someone gets this post on hangman...
by Anonymous14 years ago
Thank God for smart people.
by Anonymous14 years ago
This may be a silly question, but why is Sigma there?
by Anonymous14 years ago
sigma = sum
by Anonymous14 years ago
OHH i ate SOME pie LOL. Thanks
by Anonymous14 years ago
But Sigma pie is really good too, much better than apple or cherry.
by Anonymous14 years ago
I really wanted this to say "I just had sex"
Can someone figure out how to write that in maths?
by Anonymous14 years ago
Maybe with a crapload of variables
by Anonymous14 years ago
that's what i thought too when i saw the "and it was good"
by Anonymous14 years ago
If this doesn't win the democratic favoriting for POTD, then i don't know what will.
by Anonymous14 years ago
i had to keep doing this over and over in my head because i kept getting 'i 8 sigma pi' and then i realized it had to be sum!
by Anonymous14 years ago
This deserves POTD.
by Anonymous14 years ago
i was just about to say that i predict this will be POTD but ^
