How does one not get this post? It's saying how same-sex marriages are viewed by a majority of society as something that thousands of strangers have to approve of before it's legal. And that's messed up, considering that opposite-sex marriages are just shrugged off as something that just... is. For example, if an alcoholic woman and a drug-addicted man decides to get married and have a child, who cares, right? They're both of opposite sex, so it's OK! Yay, let's celebrate! At least, that's how I interpreted it. *giggles*

You cant exactly judge someone based on the fact that there an alcoholic or drug-addicted either.

I think you can judge whether they should be a parent or not, though... Maybe you shouldn't judge them for their situation, as who knows why they are where they are. But if you're addicted to heroin you shouldn't be having children.
