+488 You swear some people on this site seem to live by one rule, "If you can't win an argument correct their grammar instead". Amirite?

And you're rude.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well, yeah, but I feel it's justified some of the time. I mean, if you're going to get into an argument with someone, at least take the time to make your writing understandable.

Yes, but too often people on the losing side of an argument will, instead of trying to form a more valid argument or conceding defeat, just criticize the opponent's grammar, however irrelevant to the debate grammar may be. Even worse is when their comment gets a million votes up even though they're losing the argument.

There should be a comma after "If you can't win an argument". Just saying...

I live by the rule: You only need to admit you're wrong to yourself. There's no need to point it out when everybody else already knows it anyway.
