+506 Adults really do forget how stressful high school is, amirite?

No, they only know how stressful the real world is.

Let's look at it this way: Consequences of not doing one assignment: Your mark goes down, your GDP goes down. Most likely, you'll still end up going to college, getting a job, etc. Consequences of not paying one bill: You get bombarded with reminders you're late, you get slapped with ridiculous interest rates, you get sent to a collection agency which ruins your credit rating. Without a decent credit rating, you have difficulty buying/renting a home, buying a car, etc for a VERY long time. I'd say adults forget about the stress teenagers experience because it pales in comparison.

Is GDP like GPA? I totally just read that as "Your mark goes down, your Gross Domestic Product goes down."

This. Also, I'm sure high school teachers don't forget.

You can't really compare those two things. Not doing one assignment ins school is more like not making a petty phone call at work. Besides, your GPA can really determine where you go to college and what sort of job you get. To some extent a good GPA can help you as much as a good credit score. Also lots of high schoolers have credit scores in addition to GPAs.

I wonder what the ratio of high school students verses college students is on this website.
