+75 It's pointless for people to take thousands of pictures of themselves. The moments worth remembering stay with you forever anyway, amirite?

You're telling me you've never looked at a photo from way back when and had the great feelings of that time or era come rushing at you? Our brains aren't perfect; memories get deleted or rewritten. Photos help preserve such moments/memories for much longer.

I don't have a lot of pictures of myself, but I definitely want pictures of the places I've been and the people I was with. That way I can show others, and if I get dementia, I'll want the reminder.
