My friend and I actually decided that if neither of us were married by the age of forty, we'd marry each other and live together. That way, we'd get the benefits of being married (joint bank accounts, visiting each other in the hospital, etc.) I just hope that by that time gay marriage becomes more acceptable so that we don't get crap about it; it's not like we'd be having sex or anything.
