You know why we do it? Because we're tired too, and if we give you class time to work on said projects, it means we don't have to lesson plan! Although we end up hating ourselves for it later when grades are due in two days and we have piles of essays to read. Also, making you do stuff outside of class gives us a better idea of whether or not you understand the material.
