-162 America shouldn't have stepped into World War II because Britain and France could've handled Germany by themselves. amirite?

1) Part of the reason you say Britain and France could have handled themselves is because of the direct aid USA was giving them because of the Lend-Lease Act was FDR passed.. 2) We weren't going to let Pearl Harbor go unnoticed.. 3) Because we declared war on Japan, Italy and Germany declared war on us. So technically, Germany took us on first.

But if america stayed out of europe then that means that france and britain could have fought germany and gained more pride for defeating them because they were able to defend europe better than the u.s. was because germany lost anyway so it wouldnt have mattered either way

but we didn't attack Germany, they attacked us because we went to war with Japan and they had the Tripartite Pact. Germany was growing in power because it was taking over more countries and was in a pact with Italy and Japan. If the USA didn't sent money and other military items to the allies (Lend-Lease Act) they would have been screwed. I don't think that France and Britain would have been able to defeat Japan, Germany, and Italy by themselves without outside help. While FDR realized this, many Americans didn't want to get involved until Pearl Harbor occurred.

France was defeated in May 1940. The US joint the Allience in December 1941. At that time Brittain was almost crushed by the german's. But movies (and even some documentaries) let it look like the Battle of Brittain was a piece of cake.

I highly disagree. Its just annoying how the US always brags about "saving the day". Granted they were constantly sending aid and they stepped in at the last hour for Normandy etc, but a little humility would have gone a loooong way because now, unfortunately, a lot of people see the US as very arrogant towards the whole situation.

France was pretty much in Germanys control, and Britain was being bombarded by bombs. (Not the entire country, mind you, but still) Whether we had or hadn't stepped in because of pearl harbor, All three countries would be coming after is Anyways. So the US had no real choice. Not like now where our gov. Is jumping into these little countries that are rebelling. I say after Osama, we should have pulled the troops back and started to mind our own business.

Can't tell if trolling or just a complete fucking dumb ass.

America joined WW2 because they needed money to compensate from the great depression and it doesn't matter who stopped Germany as long as they were stopped. God dont you wish you could just kick Hitler in the ball?
