In movies the main character always dives away from the explosion the second it goes off. If you were ever in that situation you would probably dive way too early, lay on the ground awkwardly for a few moments and then get up and continue running, amirite?

This happened in an NCIS episode from season 1. Can't remember the name off the top of my head though. They ran out of a house after seeing a bomb, and waited a while before it went off.
