+329 It would be really cool to have a house that is half in the Northern Hemisphere & half in the Southern Hemisphere, and a toilet at each end. amirite?

What is with all the posts aboot hemispheres and toilets on the homepage? ...Okay, there were only two, but that seems like a lot of similarity between posts on the homepage.

(Chauncy Pickles): The hemisphere that you're in determines which way toilet water spirals when you flush it.

this says that's not true: http://www.misconceptionjunction.com/index.php/2010/06/the-direction-water-spins-down-your-drain-has-nothing-to-do-with-the-hemisphere-you-are-in/

THAT has nothing to do with what I asked at all. I understand the concept of flushing a toilet well un ouef, thank you.

(Chauncy Pickles): I was assuming that another generation had "discovered" this (apparently false) phenomenon and was reporting it with the world, hence the posts on the homepage. As an aside, you probably shouldn't be playing with eggs near your toilet.

My family doesn't let me eat in the dining room...

actually i'm pretty sure that if you're as close to the equator as you are describing, the water would go straight down...

Yea, thats what I've heard.

Unless you're on a mountain top, that'd be very hot. I guess some people are into that, though.
