Canadians spell colour differently because we always like to include 'u', amirite?

Aussies spell it colour, too! :)

Pretty much every colour besides the USA spells colour with a 'u'.

Colours can't spell words.

Yea I know, I don't think that would have been as funny though

Lol omg, I should really stop making comments absentmindedly.

Yes, only Americans spell the stuff without "U"s. Sorry guys, but we just like color, favorite, odor, and all the other stuff without them! And also it's ER, not RE. Really? Metre? It doesn't even look right. And TYRES! That one made me REALLY mad. Its definitely tires. And the last straw was YUGHURT. WHY would you EVER do that? It's not yoghurt. I don't hear an "H" in there. It's yogurt. Sorry guys. By the way, I'm talking about Australians mostly because well, I don't know if everyone does the same thing. Otherwise, you guys have the BEST accents ever, and I love your country, because it's one of the most gorgeous places I've ever seen, and I'm really glad I got to stay there for 3 weeks. :D

Yoghurt has the 'h' because it's pronounced a little. That's why in an American accent you sort of go "yo-gurt" instead of "yog-hurt" like others.

No, when I was in Australia, I NEVER heard ANYBODY pronounce it "yog-hurt".
by Anonymous13 years ago
you only went there for 3 weeks, you don't live there. maybe they pronounce it like that in a different part of Australia.
