I agree with everything except the "Katara and Sokka= Hermione and Ron" part. Ron and Hermione wind up married and since Katara and Sokka are brother and sister, that obviously doesn't happen. Aang and Katara wind up together at the end, so maybe Katara could be Ginny instead; that would make more sense. So Aang=Harry, Katara=Ginny, Sokka=Ron, and I have no idea who Hermione would be... I'd say "Suki" but she doesn't travel around with them and she isn't one of Aang's best friends, so then I'd say "Toph" but her and Sokka don't wind up together, so I'm not sure about that one yet, but I'll keep thinking about it. Also, OP, I assumed you were talking about the cartoon and not the movie, because, well, the movie sucked and I don't see why anyone would want to discuss it unless it was to discuss to what degree it sucked, but that clearly wasn't the case here, so if you WERE talking about the movie, I'm going to pretend it was the cartoon series you were referring to instead...

But Tonks winds up dead; Toph doesn't die at the end of the original A:TLA series, so how would that work, really? And anyway, Toph and Tonks aren't really similar personality-wise, or really in any other sense, so that wouldn't really work. Iroh and Dumbledore, though... Well could work, but it was already mentioned in the post, which is why I didn't mention it in my original comment.

actually the four houses in harry potter are based of of the "four elements" slytherin is water, ravenclaw is air, griffindore is fire and, hufflepuff is earth and just if you don't want to take my word for it:http://www.lelandra.com/tarotbook/harrypotterelements.htm just because the firelord and lord voldemort are both the antagonists doesn't mean that they are similar

I agree with alot of this. but Zuko is waaayyy hotter than Snape. and all the love triangles dont work out for either group. unless you made zuko ron, katara hermione, aang harry, toph ginny. then i would be totally okay with it :D But cannon-freaks aren't going to like that. :/

Dumbledore would be Avatar Roku rather than Iroh in my opinion. The relationship between Roku and Ozai is strickingly similar to that of Dumbledore and Grindelwald
