+295 When somebody is oblivious to a large news story. You kinda want to smack some sense into them, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I think it depends on what the news story is about, if it was about a celebrity scandal like Charlie Sheen earlier this year I wouldn't give a shit. If it was something like Darfur, Egypt, Libya, etc I would probably be mad.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

If it was something like Anthony Weiner or Casey Anthony, it'd be surprising, but I wouldn't be mad. If it's like the 2011 African Revolution, I'd be surprised more-so, but still not mad.

This post was about my bro and he knew none of then

Them*

Hey everyone, South Sudan is now a country. BUT DID YOU HEAR CASEY ANTHONY GOT OFF????

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The media controls so much of what we see and they publicize what people care about. Sadly, more people care about bullshit celebrity stuff than revolutions in other countries.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Not what the post is about but yes. They ended the coverage of japan to soon and I wanted to know their condition

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I just meant it's not entirely the person's fault when they haven't heard about something

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It is if they haven't heard about like the big stuff. Like japan, Casey Anthony, and senator weiner

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Especially when it's super traumatic..

by Anonymous 12 years ago

*cough* Casey freaking Anthony getting away with the murder of her two year old daughter who would be almost six by now!!! Ah that made me so angry!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Quick question: Why does it make you angry?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Because even if Casey DIDNT kill Caylee, a mother who has lost their two year old daughter doesn't act the way Casey did. They don't stroll around like nothing happened and keep the death a secret and go out and get a tattoo that say "Beautiful life". It's sickening to think about.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Maybe she was so distraught by the event that she tried to cover it up in her mind. Maybe even thinking about her child dying would cause her to curl up in pain and think suicidal thoughts. Do you expect every single person on earth to be perfectly fine with death, maybe cry for a few days and tell people all about it? Did you think maybe she was trying to cope with the death of her child by pretending it never happened? Apparently not.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Whoa. I didn't mean to get personal. I have thought about that once or twice. I've just never really dug into it the way you obviously have. Whether Casey Anthony is guilty or not, that child is dead so God rest her soul and hope that Casey will find peace...:( can we agree on that much?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah we can. I'm just sick of people overreacting about one simple case. There are probably 1000 court cases a day in which criminals are rightly prosecuted with solid evidence, and people hardly give that a second thought. All of a sudden, one "huge failure to the court system" comes out and everybody goes nuts.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I think I'm mostly at peace because the court had to have had a solid reason to let her off. They wouldn't just do that. Especially in her case scenario.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah. I agree.

One time at church we were talking about the earthrin Japan and my friend goes "that happened in Japan?" I said "yeah, did you not hear about it yet? " She puts her hand to her heart and says "Oh! Those poor Chinese people! "

Earthquake. On my cell. sorry.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Thats what my brother did !!!!!!!! Minus the Chineese thing

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah she just adds to the whole dumb cheerleader stereotype.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Ahhh that hilarious

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I was talking with a friend of mine and her parents, and we got into a discussion about global warming, and she goes, "Why is global warming bad again?"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

back when there was the whole BP oil thing, about three months after it happened my older brother was like, "Wait, there was an oil spill?!"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Why is everyone happy that America killed their own president? I don't get it.
