+208 It's pretty sad that people today find not having sex until marriage unrealistic and old fashioned. amirite?

It's not sad at all, abstinance until marriage is most commonly a religious idea, not a lot of people follow their religions with that much dedication

i find it sad.

I'm not going to judge people for having sex before marriage, but it's not sad or unrealistic to want to wait until marriage at all.

There is no way in hell I'm "saving myself".

i agree, it always feels weird telling someone because they'll think you think yourself above people who don't agree with "saving yourself".

I don't know where I stand on this. My friend said that it ended up being her biggest regret and a lot of people are all "sex! Yeah!" I think it would be cool if my future husband waited for me. That would make me feel special.

While I am "savin myself" or whatever you want to call it, the only downside is there are so many people who expect sex in a relationship and won't give it a chance if they know you won't put out. Its highly frustrating.

Those kind fo people aren't worth having a relationship with.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I agree, but I've been unfortunate in finding someone who isn't like that.

You're not "saving yourself". You don't die when you have sex you know, Coach Car was lying. You are simply choosing to not have sex. If someone doesn't respect your choices about sex and/or religious values he/she is not worth forming a relationship with anyway.
