Being Christian is more than going to church. Being Christian is praying, having a devotion to Jesus and knowing Jesus as your Savior. amirite?

Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car.

Not necessarily, if you actually read the bible yourself or go out and do God's work by helping people, doing the right thing, etc. it doesn't really matter if you sit listening to somebody preach about doing those things at church.

You can still keep it holy without going to church by reading your bible, praying, or doing anything else to praise God. Sometimes the messages in church don't even pertain to everyone. At my church we have had sermons about people's jobs and how to treat your spouse and kids, which I don't have any of those so it had nothing to do with me. A lot of people don't even pay attention in church anyway. I've seen people texting, sleeping, and doing anything else to occupy their time until service is over, then they leave church and go on with their lives as if nothing that was talked about in church matters after it's over. I'm not saying that everybody is like that and I'm not saying that going to church is bad or anything. I'm just saying that church isn't the only way to keep the Sabbath holy.

Without going to church, the effort is wasted.

YC365 How do Christians make Sunday "the Lord's day?"
"A Christian attends Holy Mass on Sunday or on the Vigil of Sunday. On that day he refrains from all work that would prevent him from worshipping God or disturb the festive, joyful, restful and restorative character of the day."

It does not matter what the other people do. It is about what YOU do.

It does matter if you go to church/mass/service. The 3rd Commandment says to Keep Holy Sabbath, that means to use it as a day of rest and attend mass. For Catholics the big reason to go church is to receive Jesus in Holy Communion but for many other Christian Denominations it is still important because of the commandment.

In different religions, the numbers jump around. For Catholics it is the 3rd.

The second post you made, I caught the sarcasm full on, but after your second post I began to wonder if you were just being stupid.

Being a Christian is being ignorant and oblivious to the fact that God obviously does not exist.

@AntiJokeChicken Being a Christian is being ignorant and oblivious to the fact that God obviously does not exist.

So, you are telling me that nothing exploded into nothing yet some how created the universe then somehow a planet with water and air was placed EXACTLY where it needed to be placed to sustain life then nothing came together to create dinosaurs?

I don't think so. It is quite obvious that God exists, now I am going to answer your first contradiction right now. Evil happens in the world because God plans something to come from the evil. God did not create evil. People did.

So you are saying that something coming from nothing and saying "zip zap zoop" and creating the universe is more logical? We are here because the Earth can sustain life, not the other way around, and it's not like two things collided and then BAM universe is there functioning like it is today, it happened over millions of years.

Our biology is at fault for evil, and "God" is at fault for out biology. You can't say that he didn't create evil because he obviously did. Not that I believe "He" created anything.

@AntiJokeChicken So you are saying that something coming from nothing and saying "zip zap zoop" and creating the universe is more...

It is more a lot more logical than an explosion of nothingness. There is maybe one other known planet in the universe that has water on it. Are you trying to tell me that it is luck that Earth ended up in the small zone that would not scorch or freeze the people on the Earth?

God created the world and then said it was very good. He also gave us free will, basically meaning you have the ability to say he does not exist even though he does. The free will meant that we could do as we darn please. He didn't create evil, the first person to sin, Christians call her Eve created it because they did not trust that God would provide them with everything that they need.

Not trying to start an argument or anything, but I just have to say one thing. The big bang wasn't an explosion of nothingness. If you ask any scientist about the big bang, they'll tell you that they don't know what caused it, not, "there was nothing and nothing exploded."
