+431 Whenever one of the main characters that's in a series of books/movies are in a life or death situation, you almost always know they're going to survive because the next book/movie in the series couldn't happen without them, amirite?

Unless there is no next book or movie.

I said "in a series...". That normally means more than one book/movie...

What about the last book?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yea. They could die then.. :)

I read a series where one of the main characters actually died (it wasn't the last book). He came back to life, though, but it wasn't cheesy. It was very well done, I mean, the way he died and everything. It was so unexpected, and for the first time, a main character wasn't invincible.

What are the books called?

Do you plan on reading them? That would kind of ruin it.

Ruin what?

The story because you would know what happens, lol. Anyway, it's okay. You don't know which character I'm talking about, so it's the Mortal Instruments Series.

In Harry Potter it actually said "He would remember this in years to come", or something, in one of the early books..

Game of Thrones much?

????

That was exactly what I was going to comment. I fear for all of their lives. (except the Lannisters. the only Lannister worth liking is Tyrion.)

in the vampire diaries (the books) elena dies in the third book but there's still a fourth book

I used to think that, but I've read some books recently that kill off who I had thought would be an invincible, important character.
