+1,513 With all those kids putting on the Sorting Hat, you'd think there would be an outbreak of lice every year, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

on the set of chamber of secrets there actually was an outbreak of lice among the student at Hogwarts.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I know, my head still itches.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

i feel like magic would do a pretty good job of eliminating any outbreak of lice

by Anonymous 12 years ago

They could just grab a bucket and say "Accio lice!". Although, I would want to be protected. Getting pelted by thousands of tiny lice is not one of my life goals.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I think there'd be a spell like the Cornish Pixie one that Lockhart tried the "Pesky Pixie Pesternomi" thing but with Lice and alliteration using "L"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Looks like lice are a lil' lost.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm sure Madame Pomfrey would take care of it. You know, magic and all...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Magic medicine isn't very reliable. It's like "Hey Harry we can regrow all of the bones in your arm in one night, but not fix your vision ever."

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Magic in general isn't very reliable. Why is that nobody knows how to make spells except Snape?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Maybe his vision is fine, and he just likes those groovy circular specks. Or he just really likes John Lennon.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

He's probably just wearing those glasses because he thinks they make him look smart.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Or maybe it's a reverse Super Man thing. He takes off his glasses and he's no longer Harry Potter. He shows up to school with contacts in and everyones like "Hey, you new?"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

And all this time we thought his scar gave him away.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It doesn't take a heroic wizard to carve a lightening bolt into his forehead.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I bet even Tom Riddle did it as a kid. That's probably why he had no friends.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

He had lots of friends, but he just considered them as "followers" since he didnt know love nor friendship.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Filch would go nuts. "Lice out of bed! Lice in the corridors!"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Hm... Mobile made that go anon for some reason.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

then McGonnagal would be like "Filch you blithering idiot. They're supposed to be out of bed, they're lice!"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

OMG you're awesome. XD

by Anonymous 12 years ago

WIZARD LICE

by Anonymous 12 years ago

OH MY GOD! You're posting from the future! JK, my time zones are screwed up.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You said JK, and I totes thought you were talking to J.K. Rowling. Cool story, I know.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

With all those teenagers being stuck together for a year, you'd think there'd be an outbreak in STD's

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Maybe that's why the boys weren't "trustworthy" enough to go into the girls dormitories wary

by Anonymous 12 years ago

And the girls can go into the boy's dormitories? Sexism!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

but the girls were allowed in the boys..

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Because girls are more trustworthy

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Sexism is being unfair to either sex. Its still sexism if the girls are treated better. Although, it seems that idea has become feminism.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I totally thought you were talking toyourself, because both you and Regulus have the same profile picture. o.o ^^^ csb

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I didn't realize that it wasn't the same person until I read your comment xD

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Glad I could help y

by Anonymous 12 years ago

how do you make that face?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

parenthesis wary parenthesis wary

by Anonymous 12 years ago

thank you :)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Even if someone did get lice, Madame Pomfrey could solve it a second.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

A couple of comments are assuming that magic could cure everything, like lice. Well, what if there were magical lice that are invincible to magic? Think about it

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The fuck you talking about invincible to magic?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Not invincible, but hard to get rid of. Like for instance some giants are only affected by powerful spells, and dragons can only be taken down by multiple people, because you need more magic. Also some poisons can only be cured by certain ways and horocruxes can only be destroyed by unobtainable things. If the lice were like these things, they would be impossible to get rid of.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Okay first of all, those things you mentioned are just strong magical creatures that need powerful wizards/witches to destroy...and secondly, they're fucking lice..not a fucking horcrux

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Why can't lice be as powerful against magic as a dragon or giant?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I don't know maybe because dragons and giants are fucking dragons and giants..and lice are just annoying lice

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Dragons are to lizards as magical lice are to lice.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

dragons are magical lizards..?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

There's more to it then that, but basically.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

And cockroaches will outlive even the Earth.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

By the way, the word I meant was impervious, but I couldn't think of the word at the time so I just used invincible.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I would imagine magic lice would be like little tiny dragons the size of lice just roaming around in your hair.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Oh, you may not think I'm dirty, But don't judge on what you see, I'll eat myself if you can find A filthier hat than me. You can keep your bowlers black, Your top hats sleek and tall, But I'm the Hogwarts Sorting Hat, As grimy as a stall. There are diseases hidden in my head That people cannot see, So try me on and I will give you More than just a flea.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I sang this to the tune they use on "Whose line is it anyway?" It was really nice.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

This POTD blows.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

So do leaf blowers!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

As do bubble blowers.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

And kids with stuffy noses.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

And teenage whores. And tuba players. And the wind. And bombs. ... A lot of things blow.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Like your... You know what? I'm not gonna say it. Anyone who wants to, feel free. Kyle's mom gets enough crap anyw-- oh, wait. Oops.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Can I get a free mustache ride? I'm curious to know what it is.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well, for one thing, it requires a lot of blowing. hello

by Anonymous 12 years ago

With a mustache? That must be pretty exciting.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah, it is. Unfortunately, only girls can go on my mustache rides. I mean... I could see how a guy could go on one, but I'm not really into that, y'know?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

frown but... it's a mustache...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Seconded, yet it will still get a really high score.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

And so do people who get the potd from Anthony.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No. Wizards don't need to deal with trivial things such as lice, so there simply is no lice.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

But they got pimples and acne. Fred and George had that ten-second blemish remover, and Eloise Midgen cursed her nose off trying to get rid of her zits, so why would lice be any different? On that note, I imagine a lot of witches would accidentally scalp themselves trying to get rid of the lice if there ever was an outbreak.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

AH. Good point. I didn't even think about that, I was too baffled by the post to even comment on it geniusly. Geniously? Genius-ly.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Not enough this had to be POTD, it also had to be homepaged too... Now it shows up twice on my homepage...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

But with the new amirite 2.0, your homepage is customizable!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Not on mobile :/

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Touche, but this person isn't on mobile

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Also, The sorting hat can talk, go through people's minds when it's over their head, and pull out the sword of gryffindor; I'm sure it could also clean itself.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Wash your hands, scrub your hair Come in before cleaning don't you dare Double check, triple check, always check For a tiny white little speck Cause just one outbreak of those pesky lice Means losing house points, what a hefty price So don't let a louse, don't let a louse DON'T LET A LOUSE IN THE GRYFFINDOR HOUSE!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The voice in my head rapped that

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Haha, I was going more for nursery rhyme sing songy, but rap is cool too

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Just get Hagrid to turn you upside-down and smack you, that is if you can't afford mayonnaise.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Mayonnaise? O______o

by Anonymous 12 years ago

PPP reference.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Power Puff Pancakes?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

They probably put some charm on it so it couldn't get lice or something... I mean, you can make it so an entire area is completely invisible to those outside of it, SURELY there is a lice-repelling charm.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Im pretty sure theres wizards a cant get spell lice for that

by Anonymous 12 years ago

"a cant get spell lice for that." I know, I know, it's rude to point and laugh. I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Harry Potter spell to remove lice: "Liceaus Be-gon-um", it works. wary

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That sounds more like one of Lockhart's spells, like the one he tried to use on the pixies.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I think when large groups of children are looked over by 4 or 5 adults there is much more to be worried about than a lice outbreak.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I get your point, but it's more than 4 or 5 adults... Dumbledore, Filch, Flitwick, Hagrid, Hooch, McGonagall, Pomfrey, Sprout, Snape, Trelawney, Whichever DATDA teacher...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm sorry. 12 adults.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I think when people talk about magic like it's real there is much more to worry about than lice.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I think when people ignore the fact that this is about Harry Potter there's much more to worry about than lice. But not really, because other peoples' ignorance does not affect anyone else directly, unless that someone else is irritable and likes to complain about society so everyone can like them.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

KILL THE NON-BELIEVER! KILL IT!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

FUCK YEAH! My first POTD! It really sucks that I made it anon though...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Dang it. It's you d

by Anonymous 12 years ago

PROVE IT YOU WON'T

You my friend are a liar.Proof? Right here. http://i1127.photobucket.com/al...g?t=1311650496 I had to reset my photobucket password for that. You're welcome.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That was definitely shopped. More proof from me: http://ctrlv.in/30654

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I will not tell lies. Looks like you need an appointment with Professor Umbridge. I don't have Photoshop, and if I did I wouldn't use it for pretending to make the POTD. http://i1127.photobucket.com/albums/l624/HowrseImageHost/POSTTHATISMINE-1.png

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You could also easily copy, paste and move with like paint, I guess. But whatever, people are saying this is the worse POTD ever.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Ah-ha! The true poster would stand by thier post no matter what! And just because I'm nerotic, I thought I'd add this, too: http://i1127.photobucket.com/albums/l624/HowrseImageHost/Post.png

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I think what the muggles before me meant to say was, "pics or gtfo."

by Anonymous 12 years ago

WOOOOOO

by Anonymous 12 years ago

My favorite part of this post is that it is also categorized as "Health, Beauty, and Fitness".
