+306 Sometimes, when you hear a pop song for the first time, you think "I've heard that melody somewhere before", amirite?

I predict a POTD

It's called the four chord song.

I mean the vocal melody. But I'm not accusing all pop of being the same (not necessarily directed towards you). I actually like some of it.

What? I'm not an artist or anything. I'm saying most popular songs use only four chords for the chorus and that's why you think you've heard the melody before because it's the same notes. I like most pop hits too.

When I first heard On the Floor something sounded familiar, and then I realized it sounded like Stereo Love, and then after some research I found that they were influenced by this Lambada song.

Yeah, on the floor definitely reused an old melody from somewhere.

Dubstep...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

what do you mean dubstep? What about it?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm modifying the post by putting dubstep, because it is the same with dubstep.
