You hate it when you criticize a musician and someone tells you that they'd like to see YOU trying to making music. It's like, I don't have to be able to play guitar to be able to tell that an artist sucks, amirite?

I do find it annoying when someone says an EDM artist (or any artist that doesn't have the typical guitar, drums, and bass setup) just pushes buttons. If you don't like a certain type of music, that's fine, but don't assume every artist is just some lazy ass, letting their computer do all the work.

Playing any physical instrument is a lot harder than using a computer though because the sound coming out is manipulated by the person playing it. So any imperfections such as pressure applied, direction of air etc. (not always a bad thing) will translate into what's being heard. A computer has no such imperfections. It's obvious that natural human manipulated sound is richer and contains more emotion than a computer generated sound.

Exactly. What makes music "good" to me is the emotion put into it.
