That why I like being perceived as 3rd best. 2nd just means you're the first loser and people just pity you. 3rd is far less notable so people don't think or talk too much about it. Also, you're not prone to being attacked or knocked off your metaphorical throne. At the same time, it IS in the top 3 which is still nice. 4th and below is just sad.
