okay, this will more than likely be rebuked from everyone but im okay with that. I want a serious answer... What if homosexuality is also a mental condition? I mean, in general a very small percentage of the population is attracted to the same sex. So what if? Im not saying that homosexuals are mentally retarded. But what if homosexuality is actually a mental condition as well? And i would appreciate people avoiding statements like "But they are born this way" because so are people with mental conditions like above.

I suppose it depends what you mean by mental condition. Do you mean they simply differ from the norm, or is it more like you have a mental condition because of a hormonal imbalance?

i would say hormonal imbalance. Just because it is such a small percentage of the population... I think it truly is a mental condition just like pedophilia or necrophilia but it is different in that both parties are consenting to the sex/attraction. With the two i mentioned above, there really is no consent. (especially from the dead)

I think I partially agree with you, and I understand what you're saying. To me though, the term "mental condition" carries such a negative connotation; but I do think it isn't what we call "natural" in the sense that a "normal" human being can be gay. I completely support it, but I do agree it's closer to a mutation in the genome or an error while coding.

Homosexuality is a mental condition, or maybe it's a hormonal imbalance or whatever. It is also a sexuality. I don't know for sure whether or not pedophillia and necrophillia are sexualities too, but I would guess that they're not because you never hear of them being classified as such. That, and they don't end in -sexuality like all other sexualities I know of. I personally think that the only thing seperating any sexuality from those -phillias is consent. But that's just me.
