Consider the fact that Marijuana is a major source of income for carteles in Mexico. Not just there, anywhere. Drugs are used as a major cash crop for gangs. Alcohol is dangerous personally, but on a much grander scale, marijuana is worse.

Look, alcohol and drugs are both bad. Trying to justify one by demeening the other does not make it right. Both alcohol and drugs are bad on a personal and grander scale. Marijuana is bad, m'kay?. Like smoking cigarettes. It cause pulmonary diseases and a buch of other stuff.

I'm not denying it's bad. I'm just saying it's dangerous on a public scale because it's not controlled by the government and people do bad things to get drugs illegaly.

Smartspoon, seriously? Everything is bad. Everything in the entire world. You're not going to find a single thing that won't kill you. Water will kill you, oxygen will kill you, nitrogen will kill you. In fact, marijuana is one of the few things that //hasn't// killed anyone. Smoking is also just bad in general. Fortunately, the active compound in marijuana are soluble in lipids, so you can just heat it up in some butter and eat it. No harm on your lungs, no harm anywhere else.

Or use a vaporizer or water pipe. A vaporizer makes it completely harmless to your lungs, and water pipes decrease the damage. And SmartSpoon, how is marijuana worse on a grander scale? Excluding everything that results from it being illegal.

Are you talking just for the user's health? Marijuana isn't as bad for the body as alcohol. Both are bad if you overdo it, but alcohol is more harmful. Alcohol is an assault on your body; your body tries to get rid of it as fast as possible. Marijuana is a treat for the body (at least the brain) and your body let's THC stick around for a few weeks or a month. Don't get me wrong, I like alcohol too and think the drinking age should be 18. My point is just that it doesn't make sense that alcohol is so accepted in society just because it's legal, and marijuana is so frowned on and demonized because it's illegal (and because people believe propaganda about it).
