Since ever. They are more common than blue but less common than brown. Pretty common not most common.

I've had four boyfriends and all four had green eyes. They're a pretty common eye color

@juliaface Next to red or violet which only occurs with albinism, true green eyes are the rarest eye color. Perhaps you know many people with green eyes, but overall they are not near as common as blue or brown.

I think it depends on where you are... In Arizona, I meet mostly people with brown or green eyes and only a few blue eyed people. But I looked it up and world wide green is the least common.

My whole family and I have red hair and green eyes. For us, blonde hair and blue eyes are a rarity.

I think red hair is gorgeous. I also think the green and red of the hair and eyes help to bring each other out, which is absolutely beautiful to me.

I'm a ginger with green eyes! I feel special :3 On a side note, no one else in my family (immediate or extended) have either of those traits. I'm not adopted though. it's just weird. :o

It might have skipped a few generations. My younger brother has bright red hair that hasn't shown up in my family for 3 or 4 generations.
