+207 You've noticed how it's always a big deal when celebrities die, but no one ever cares when they're born, amirite?

Huh? How does this make sense? Except for babies of celebrities, or "milestone babies" (like Pamela Anderson), they're not famous and haven't accomplished anything when they're born.

I think that's the joke lol :)

Oh. Thanks. Now I feel stupid.

Oh! I didn't mean to do that, you had a point anyways

Nah, it's cool. I didn't vote because I thought there might be some joke that everyone else got that I didn't.

Yes they do. The second highest point of their lives, after death, is their birth or their coming into the world of celebrities. The birth of the actual child that later becomes a celebrity isn´t actually the celebrity´s birth, since the baby is just a normal baby.

Some babies become celebrities just by being born with celebrity parents - I'm think about Tom Cruise's daughter, who has more or less been in magazines since she was a few months old, and Angelina Jolie's natural and adopted kids.

That's also a good counter-example to the post! I hadn't thought of that.
