You wonder if, in Harry Potter, a guy took polyjuice potion, and got pregnant before it wore off, would he still be pregnant when he changed back? amirite?
My guess is that the polyjuice potion only changes the outward appearance and not the internal stuff (since obviously they retain their own brain and whatnot), therefore even if he appeared to be a woman by taking the potion, he would not have the estrogen and ovaries and all that good stuff that women have. He's still a boy inside even if he looks like a girl on the outside. So he can't get pregnant.
Hmmm ... that's a good theory, but I'm not sure if the other internal organs wouldn't change. Like, they appear to keep their own minds - I would consider the mind different from the physical brain, but that's another discussion - but get other organs, for example when Ron and Harry changed, their voices were Crabbe and Goyle's voices, meaning they changed vocal chords as well. And I'm guessing if a male took the potion of a female, he would get the uterus and ovaries.
Very good point. Maybe the voice falls under the category of outward appearance and changes to match the character because other people can perceive it, you know? But I don't think the brain/hormones/etc changes because they think the same as they always have, so there aren't new factors coming into play like different hormones than they're used to. Like if a girl changed into a boy using the potion, she wouldn't have testosterone or else wouldn't that cause her to think/act a little differently?
Like, apart from everyone turning into Harry at the start of the 7th book, there haven't been any other cross-sex transformations (that I can remember).
All I remember is that when Crouch Jr turned into Moody, he lost his eye and leg, and when he changed back, he grew them back, because the fake eye and peg leg fell off.
But the fake-Moody keep taking the potion continuously, meaning if you could be in their body for longer than an hour if you kept taking the potion on the hour.
First of all, you keep say man, and a woman would get pregnant. And I say the polyjuice potion only effects your appearance so if like hermione got pregnant while on polyjuice potion she wud be pregnant. The father would be very confused though.

IDK.

I don't know.. That'll give you something to think about.
Polyjuice potion only lasts an hour, it takes way more than that for a sperm to fertilize an egg.

True.
probably not since if it's a guy he wouldn't be pregnant in the first place

I would say no...everything changes back afterwards doesn't it?
I hear most wizard pregnancies never last longer than an hour, so I wouldn't think so.
You can go for more than an hour, ask Barty Crouch Jr.
I was thinking in small doses prescribed by wizard doctors.
Or if a girl had a tampon in & she turned into a guy...Where would it go?
I guess it would just kind of fall out.
Well, men don't get pregnant...
