Not really. I don't think that's the case at all. When you make gender assumptions like this one, you assume that all women are the same and that all men are the same. Why should it only be considered serious when a man thinks about the future? Are you suggesting that when women think something, it's silly in comparison to when a man thinks about something?

By what logic? The logic that when a girl thinks about her future she is serious? "Oh, she wants a future with me, I'd best not propose to her, who knows what trouble that'l cause."

I don't understand, but okay. No, that isn't what I meant. What I meant is that this post is implying that when a girl thinks about her future with someone, she isn't serious about it.

That's kind of what the post is about. Girls tend to overthink things and fantasize waayyyy more than boys do, so it makes sense that it would most likely be serious if the guy was thinking of the future.
