They do that when they think you have food. You go to pet their head and they angle their head up so it'll reach their mouth/so they can smell it, and they're THINKING (read in Toby Turner voice) "NOOO! DON'T PUT THE FOOD ON MY HEAD! SWEET DELICIOUS FOOOOOD!"
