Kidz Bop: Has nameless children and adolescents singing. Glee: Has hotass, late-teen singers of both genders, with names. Surely no one is surprised.

All of Glee does not suck. The story line might be exaggerated, there are a few characters that may not be the best singers, but then there are those that are amazing like Lea Michele. She has been on Broadway. Many of her covers are good such as On My Own from Les Mis and Papa Can You Hear me from Yentl I (even though she's covering Streisand). A lot of people forget the whole musical theater portion of the show and only focus on the popular Justin Beiber, Journey, Britney Spears, etc. covers that they did. So many singers cover songs to the point where people don't even realize they redid someone else's song. It's not a crime. I think it great that Glee is making more people aware of older music. It is better than Kidz Bop by a long shot. Sorry, had to get that off my chest.

I like Tina because I prefer the five original glee clubbers. You're right about the alternative songs thing. She has a really good voice.

I appreciate good singing. He was in South Pacific which is one of my fave shows. If he couldn't sing I would absolutely take no liking to him. I don't think his hair is nice either, lol.

Thank you! People give Glee so much shit, but in the end, the characters are being what they set out to be: a show choir. And--believe it or not--choirs generally don't sing songs written by members of the choir. They cover other songs. Yes, Glee is over-the-top, but what TV show/movie/play/musical is not? At least the singers have real talent to help make up for the ridiculous plotlines of the show. And personally, I enjoy it, because it's just downright fun, and sometimes you just need some fun in your life.

Thank you, too! That was well-said. It seems like they have forgotten it's a show choir! I hate when people say they're "stealing" or "copying" songs.

Especially because, technically speaking, they're doing neither because "stealing" the songs would be illegal and would shut down the show faster than you can say "Sue Sylvester."

Glee might not be everyones favorite, but compared to Kidz Bop I'd say they do alright. I was simply comparing that they both re-make songs but Glee has been more successful.
