+425 "You're pretty/handsome," means different things when it comes from your family, friends, or boyfriend/girlfriend, but it means the most coming from a stranger, amirite?

What happens when that stranger becomes a boyfriend/girlfriend?

Then congratulations! You're now in a relationship!

Eh, I think it's great when a stranger compliments you in that way, but when it's someone you know, that beauty is recognized from the inside which feels a lot more special.

Not really, the point of the post is that your friends, family, etc. will say that as they always do and it becomes meaningless. Also, they might possibly be lying about what they say just to make you feel happy. While a stranger, a stranger doesn't give a fuck. A stranger will be honest, he/she might tell you you're a fat obese bastard or really really pretty, they don't care. As they don't care and it's someone anonymous, you can see that this is the real way other people see you, rather than what family, etc. will tell you about your appearance.
