Lily and Harry Potter did not have the same eyes in the movies, amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
If you're talking about young Lily, she's wearing blue contacts but her brown eyes show through anyways. At least they made an attempt.

Why didn't they just hire a blue eyed girl to begin with? The role didn't seem that demanding that they even needed a good actress.

Because she's supposed to have green eyes...

Book Harry has green eyes, Movie Harry has blue. It would have made just as little sense to make Movie Young Lily have green with Movie Harry having blue.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Yeah. But her eyes should be green. So should his, but I understand he was allergic to the contacts. As for lily (I believe we are talking about adult lily) the actress they picked looked pretty darn like I thought she would, so I say it was a good decision.

Oh, I though they were referring to Young Lily from Snape's memories in the last one movie, who had brown eyes. But I still think it would be silly to have Lily have green eyes after everybody kept saying Harry had her eyes, when it became impossible for Harry to have green eyes. I understand the want for consistency to the book, but doing so would have created a hole in the movie.

Right, right. That would be pretty stupid just to only follow the book for one of them and not the other. As for young lily, I wasn't paying much attention during that scene :/ but w/e. And I agree that it didn't take much skill to play the little girl, so yeah. They should have gotten a blue-eyed one.

They attempted to put green contacts on Daniel but it didn't work out.
by Anonymous13 years ago
He had a very bad reaction...
by Anonymous13 years ago
It's kinda hard to find people who aren't related who have th exact same eyes.

Daniel Radcliffe was allergic to the green eye contacts he was supposed to wear so that's why his eyes are blue in the movies.
by Anonymous13 years ago
pissed me off so much. daniel radcliffe's eyes were blue in the movies, was it really so hard to find a red-haired little girl with blue eyes? seriously.

Someone has way too much time on their hands (It's you OP).
by Anonymous13 years ago
Yeah, it was fairly time consuming to tell the difference between blue and brown.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Having watched the movie, I can safely say there was a lot of stuff more important going on.

Excuse me for being observant.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I'll excuse you for being observant, I will not however excuse you for being a bitch about it, it was a joke in the first place, get over yourself.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I've not really been a "bitch" about it. I was a little sarcastic but it wasn't my intention to be rude to you. I apologize about it coming across that way.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Well then I apologize for calling you names.

Sweeet (:

You know, you make a good point. Finding a redhead with brown eyes is pretty rare and was part of why the whole thing seemed odd to me. It was almost like she had brown eyes and they dyed her hair red. Someone must have liked her eyes (they were beautiful) but they didn't resemble harry's.
