Your reply is irrelevant to my original comment. Why would a vampire be afraid of catching STD's or other diseases. The vampire is already dead and is therefor incapable of getting sick.

It's very relevant... just because they're dead doesn't mean they enjoy experiencing unpleasant situations. STDs may have a different effect on vampires... it might be as small as tasting bad or as big as turning them to a human being with herpes. The possibilities are endless.

I don't know much about vampires either, or about blood and how it tastes; but I wouldn't think that contaminated blood would taste any different than non-contaminated blood. I doubt vampires would know the difference.

But aren't all their senses heightened? Like they have super strength and super speed, so I assumed they also have super taste, but then again super taste wouldn't be super helpful, so did they just exclude that?

Well, if the blood were to taste different, it would be likely to smell different as well. & then the vampire could use their super smelling strength to avoid the contaminated blood.

Aha, so it wouldn't be super scary to be a vampire, because they can super smell it from far away and avoid it. It all makes sense now.
