Tangentially related: I took a class on Japanese Mythology and Folktales, and there was one girl who start EVERY SINGLE COMMENT with the phrase, "I saw in an anime once..." It got to the point where my professor just started ignoring her, thankfully. It's like, you do realize that the animes are based on history, not the other way around, right?
