If murder was legalized, you still wouldn't kill anyone, amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Nancy Grace. That is all.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I would be scarred for life of the image of myself killing someone.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I'd be too worried about people killing me.
by Anonymous13 years ago
No, but I would definitely be murdered within 5 minutes of it being legal
by Anonymous13 years ago
Remind me not to piss off the people who voted NW.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Id go vigilante
by Anonymous13 years ago
I would get a fucking machine gun, make a list of people that piss me off, and go down the list.
by Anonymous13 years ago
i'd only kill if attacked...
by Anonymous13 years ago
Everyone would be playing defensive mode and killing ppl that pissed them off. :p

A horde of angry asian parents would tear me to bits...

This is actually really interesting.
Like, if there were no laws against it, would you be able to survive on just your own morals (ignore for a second the huge problem of other's morals)?
Like, if you had an opportunity to murder someone, and no one would ever find out, you'd never have to pay for it, would you do it?
Like, what's stopping us from committing crimes - our own inner moral sense of right and wrong, or just that we know we'll be punished if we do? Is the threat of going to jail/death penalty the only thing that keeps a lot of the population from going on a killing rampage, or do you think if murder was legal, the majority of people would still not commit it?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Like, that's why I put it under philosophy.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Yeah, hopefully that'll make more people see it and talk about it.
I was kinda pissed that it had a bunch of comments, but they were all one liners.
by Anonymous13 years ago
It's a great physiological question, with out punishment what would someone do. Would they murder and what would there reaction be if they did.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Yeah.
And, not even murder, let's bring it down a bit - say theft, if a person knew they could steal something with absolutely no punishment, I reckon a lot of people would.
This is why I could never get into anarchist politics - the idea of having no government or system of laws is stupid, and relies far too much on the idea that we can self-govern when faced with lack of authority.
by Anonymous13 years ago
99.9% of people would steal.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Ha, maybe not that much, but I do think a good majority.
Also, would people just free-for-all steal, or have some sort of rules for themselves (which wouldn't make a difference, since it would every person has their own rules).
Like, I download music for free, which is illegal.
But, if they're band that had just started up, like the past few years, I won't download or torrent anything, I'll buy their stuff.
Because, the way I reason it, most of the bands I like are from the 70s/80s/90s, so their stuff might as well be free-for-all, but I want to support bands that are just starting.
IDK, I'm not thinking properly ATM.
by Anonymous13 years ago
That's a good point, how far will the person go, Will they only steal a certain amount, or from certain people.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Yeah, like, I gotta say, if it was from a big corporate shopping centre, and not some privately owned local business, I'd be awful tempted.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Exactly.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Like, I'm not saying it's right to steal from a huge supermarket, like some "Fuck da man!" wanker, not at all.
I'm just saying that I could rationalise it to myself by thinking that a company that earns millions a day isn't gonna be affected by me nicking a few Tvs or Ipods or something.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I can't decide. There's no one I would go out and kill right now, but I feel like if I got raped or someone in my family got murdered, I might try to kill the rapist/murderer. Does that make me a horrible person?
by Anonymous13 years ago
I don't know, there a quite a few people that i would love to shove off a tall building, but i think that the guilt would eat me alive
