In the wizarding world, taking a whisk of Felix Felicis right before a date takes the term 'getting lucky' to a whole new level, amirite?

Giving a whisk of roofies to your date will also give you some luck.

This post deserves the title of longest time spent as POTD, unless Steve Jobs dies again before midnight

I don't know what you're talking about. "In the wizarding world, taking a utensil for whipping eggs or cream or Felix Felicis right before a date takes the term 'getting lucky' to a whole new level, amirite?" makes perfect sense. He's obviously going to dazzle her with his awesome cooking skills.

@virginvigilante take a whisk is the same as take a sip

thats the implied meaning, yes, but that's not the actual definition of that verb

Take or move (someone or something) in a particular direction suddenly and quickly.

@noun 6. an act of whisking.

it still doesn't make sense. According to your definition, a "whisk of felix felicious" would be a sudden movement of the felix felicious in a particular direction, but OP says "taking a whisk of felix felicious" => "taking a sudden movement of felix felicious". Do you see how this is not equal to "taking" a small amount of liquid?

A whisk is a utensil for stirring or beating cream, eggs, batter, etc

Well this POTD has been temporarily replaced by the Steve Jobs one.
Well, R.I.P Steve Jobs anyways. You'll be missed, Steve.

Felix Felicis is a potion in Harry Potter. When you drink it, you are lucky. To get lucky in our world is to get laid. So, put two and two together.

@1488096

Felix Felicis, also called "liquid luck", is a magical potion firstly introduced on Professor Slughorn's first potion class in Hogwarts. Felix Felicis makes the drinker lucky for a period of time, depending on how much is taken, during which everything they attempt will be successful. It's meant to be used sparingly, however, as it causes giddiness, recklessness, and dangerous overconfidence if taken in excess. Felix is highly toxic in large quantities and is also a banned substance in all organised competitions, such as Quidditch, along with all other methods of cheating. It is very difficult to make, disastrous to get wrong, and requires six months to stew before it's ready to be consumed.

dude calm down. plagiarism is attempting to pass of a work as your own. Not just simply trying to help another person by relaying accurate info to clarify a certain term.

felix felicis makes you really lucky for a certain time length..so basically it can help you get lucky with your date..if you get what i'm implying.. hello smilie

Mmm I guess you could read into my implications in any way. If your idea of lucky is finding a penny on the ground during a date, then hell yeah, the felix felicis can totally help.

@mchalla3 Well there's that and the fact that it's an amazing series that you can actually learn something from.

Yes, it's a great book, all fine and dandy, but people need to stop acting like you've commited a crime if you haven't read them.

@Shugah Yes, it's a great book, all fine and dandy, but people need to stop acting like you've commited a crime if you...

I didn't mean to act that way, and if I did, then I apologize to ilikefurrywolves4815.

@Shugah Yes, it's a great book, all fine and dandy, but people need to stop acting like you've commited a crime if you...

Exactly! And why are people being down-voted for not understanding a Harry Potter reference? Jeez, if someone doesn't want to read the book, is not into that kind of thing, or hasn't gotten around to it, let them be.

A whisk is a stirring device?

@1488195

But it's not like there's a topic that everyone in the world/amirite? is interested in, so it's impossible to find a POTD that everyone finds amazing and relevant to themselves.
