The voters have decided that Slim_Shady is wrong! Vote on the post to say if you agree or disagree.

Just like how the world was suppose to end in 2000, june 6, 2006, and on october 2010 (that's what my 9th grade history teacher said). Yeah, I don't think the world is going to end...

None of those are supported by the Mayans. They have been right with predicting EVERYTHING.

EXACTLY. Mayans have gotten EVERYTHING that they predicted right in the past, so why would this prediction be any different?

@(MelissaAnn9;): Except for the fact that the Mayan calender didn't predict it.

Exactly. All that December 21st, 2012 is supposed to be is the beginning of the new cycle. Each cycle is approximately 394.3 years, or one K'atun. December 21st, 2012 will be the beginning of our 14th K'atun.

@Whutsurnaym Exactly. All that December 21st, 2012 is supposed to be is the beginning of the new cycle. Each cycle is...

spaniards burned a ton of the mayans written documents and such (because they thought it was the scrolls of the devil or whatever) , so its possible the mayans wrote out the new cycle and it just got burned. but i voted yes because if im wrong, the world wont end... woopie

@Whutsurnaym What do you mean by "the mayans wrote out the new cycle and it just got burned"?

(Whutsurnaym):(123197236120 months later) i never said they DID write it out, im just saying they could have made a calender and the spaniards could have destroyed it because they thought the mayans were demons or something.

Our calendar ends December 31st, every year. Has the world ended yet? No. Does the end of a calendar mean the end of time? NO!

Anonymous +9Reply

I got Anthony's approval. Good enough for me.

The Mayan calandar just ended on 12/21/2012, and, being the intelligent society that they were, would probably assume that once a calendar ends it just starts over again. They Mayans said absolutely nothing about the world ending on this date.

Anonymous +6Reply
@Slim_Shady Why would you "assume" the calendar starts over again?

My calender ends on December 31, 2010. So the REAL end of the world date must be THEN.

@Slim_Shady Why would you "assume" the calendar starts over again?

Because it does start over. December 21st, 2012 is the 14th time it will restart. Do some research before you try to be smart.

@Slim_Shady Why would you "assume" the calendar starts over again?

Plus, the calender does start over. Actually, there are three calenders, a cyclical religious calender, a cyclical everyday calender, and a long count calender, which is a count of days from the day of creation in the Mayan religion. The long count calender is kind of like how we count years from the birth of Jesus.

why would you be so negtive, makes me wanna cry

@Slim_Shady Why would you "assume" the calendar starts over again?

Because people study this. The calendar works mechanically, and needs to be reset each cycle. All you do is reset the gears and the calendar starts its new cycle. I don't study this, but have had it expalined to me. It is not the end of the world.

Haha I said no way, and made it 2012 no ways. And no one know when the world will end.

Anonymous +3Reply

(zomganoob) why would you just "assume" that the worlds gonna end?

Anonymous +2Reply

Yo Slim_Shady-
If the world ends and we're all dead, how will you be proven right? We would all be dead.

Anonymous +2Reply
@Slim_Shady (MLIA supporter): I'll be proven right because we ARE dead.

except it won't matter if you're right or wrong. You'll be dead.

@Slim_Shady I'll die knowing I was right.

Hopefully, in 2012, you won't be spiteful enough to care about whether or not you're right if the world is ending.

So what if you're right? What will being right get you? Nothing more than a superficial ego boost that leads to a superiority complex because you had been right all along.

Like seriously man, the whole "I told you so!" thing? I'd like to think you're better than that. I stopped the "I told you so" act in like the third grade.

Would the real Slim Shady please stand up? (and tell this idiot off for stealing his name and being incredibly stupid)

Well, you were wrong.

@BenBiggs Well, you were wrong.

I'll kill you, then I'll be right.

if 3 more people no way this it will be -2012

Anonymous 0Reply

they changed the date of the end of the world..

Anonymous 0Reply

It is 2015, for crying out loud!!!

no you will end doesnt mean the the world will

Anonymous -1Reply

I "No Way"ed this, even though I will be really disappointing if nothing "World Changing" (as in disaster) happens all over the world and affects everyone.
