+215 The Lion King should have been kept in its original 2D form, amirite?

You are making it sound like all 2D forms of the movie have been replaced by the 3D version.

The 3D version was horrible.

The 3D version was just a way for Disney to make more money off a movie they had already made, so you shouldn't have expected it to be any good.

20 dollars to see a movie I already owned in 3D that might as well have been 2D because there was almost no 3D.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I mean I own it in 2D, sorry if that was unclear.

I didn't see it... did the little bit of 3D make it worse, or was it just a waste of money?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

It was just a waste of money. It was 2D basically.

Kinda glad I didn't see it then. But still, if 2D goes the way of VHS, it'll end up being a good thing that Disney movies were put into 3D so that younger generations will be able to enjoy them.

I don't think it was horrible, it was just the same as the original. I went with my sister and it was really nice to actually see it in cinemas, since both of us were too young to see it when it was originally released.

Delete "were too young". Insert "weren't born". That movie is older than I thought. Although to be fair I was a couple of months away from being born.

You make me feel old. I have pictures of me watching the Lion King when I was a toddler right after it came out on VHS.

I don't understand why it matters. Just don't go to see it in 3D if you don't want to. It's that simple.
