I'm a girl and I don't even shower every day. Most of the time, it's every other day unless I exercise or just need to. Shampooing every day damages hair, which is what 90% of each shower is focused on.
I don't use product, my hair gets greasy after about two days I'd say. When I do shower at least 2 days in a row, I do have to use a shower cap every other time b/c shampooing does easily strip my hair's natural oils but if I let it get wet but don't shampoo it, it looks terrible. I do still shave my underarms every day though esp. in the summer but sometimes I just do it over the sink...gosh, and this is why im posting anonymously. some beauty secrets should just not be shared, it's better to not know the whole process to get the final look
I heard about that a while ago and I stopped using shampoo a few weeks ago. I don't tell people though just because the immediate reaction is "gross", but if you don't strip your hair of the oils then they stop over-producing.
I used to put a ton of product in my hair and so I used a ton of shampoo. But now that I don't put any product in my hair I use a tiny little bit of shampoo and then conditioner, so I was my hair every day and my hair is perfectly healthy. But not everyone has the same hair type as I.
@lingling It's not a lot of work just because I only do it about once a week. It would be too much if I had to do it daily like shampoo, but my hair doesn't get as oily so I don't. I like it because the lack of chemicals just seems like a good thing for my hair, and it's noticeably healthier and less dry. Definitely recommend it
@ling_ling, I don't use shampoo except for when I put fiber gum in my hair which doesn't wash out completely with just water; but my sister has some sulfate-free shampoo so I use that when necessary. I just started recently using the fiber gum; so before that I went 6 months w/o shampoo. Another great thing I noticed is that my hair wouldn't fluff up or get frizzy (I have thick hair) like it did with shampoo.
You know, you don't actually need to use shampoo; I went six months without it and my hair was very soft (not oily at all). After about a week (it might take longer for people who put a ton of crap in their hair) my hair adjusted and stopped producing so much oil so it stayed clean and healthy.
Yeah, I didn't know what it was until I saw it; I was looking for something with a nice, flexible hold and I stumbled upon it, so I bought it and it works well.
My hair goes down to my butt and it's so thick that in the shower I have to comb it, then dry it with a hair dryer for about an hour. Although I do air dry it every once in a while.
Yeah those becauses are so so clean.
Because are all clean and stuffs...

I don't wash my hair everyday, so 90% of my shower is usually focusing on my body. And you can just use a shower cap.

EXACTLY, whenever I mentioned it to people they would always freak out about how "gross" it is, when it's really more clean that it is with shampoo.

I do the baking soda / vinegar routine about once a week.

Just when I go out! Like to school or visiting friends. But if theres a day I don't go anywhere and stay home all day I usually wont!
It's easier for guys to shower every day because they don't have to hassle with their hair as much when they get out.

I'm so glad that the guys of amirite aren't disgusting.
I have sports everyday so it would be pretty gross if I didn't.
I shower everyday, but I only use shampoo and soap every other day. It's bad for your hair and skin if you use it daily.
So you when you don't use soap, you just stand there?
Maybe the days she doesn't shampoo are the days she uses soap
@anon You can still wash yourself down with water or scrub with a wet sponge.
Now I know why I can smell some people from a mile away.
