+131 the number of criminals is increasing; thus, 'Education needs Revolution', amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

it probably has more to do with the economy....

by Anonymous 12 years ago

whether it is economy or whether it is politics; everything begins with education :) our education system has gone farther ahead in materialistic-education but has fail to deliver value-education which helps in building the character of a man.

i believe man is inherently selfish, which is ultimately the cause of this recession

by Anonymous 12 years ago

i agree that human are inherently selfish but just think that there are people like police-officers, military-man who give their life. This is the impact of education. Giving life is possible only if a man is having purpose which comes after a value-education based teaching. Recession is caused due to greed which present education system has failed to uproot.

Yeah okay you've converted me

by Anonymous 12 years ago

i hope that you are saying true; if you have further points/questions then do share; i always prefer discussions more than debate :)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

What the? How do you come to this conclusion from that basis? It doesn't even make any sense... education is one thing (that does need to be reformed) and crime is another. Those are two sort of related statement of facts, even if there was a correlation between the two, there's probably a third variable that you're not taking into account.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

what is that third variable ? :)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Could be a number of things, but one important factor is poverty.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

poverty can be erased if there is good education; every factor depends upon education.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Aren't we wishful thinkers... do you know how many "educated" people there are out there, without a job? College graduates with engineering degrees, stuck with heaps of college debt. Even before this crappy economy. There are so many people out there (not just lazy ones) that apply to hundreds of companies (with fair grades) and can't find a single job. In addition to that, do you know how many people get a job in an area, where they studied? I know plenty of teachers who are cashiers now, with their masters degrees. Besides how do you know poverty doesn't cause poor education? Because if you don't have money, you apparently can't get an education (at least in the states).

by Anonymous 12 years ago

this is what i am saying; our education is just giving materialistic knowledge which is used just for finding job; if value-education is given, only then problems like greed, competitiveness etc can be eradicated.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah... I don't think that's how it works. You can't teach good morals, that's something innate. If someone thinks murdering a bunch of people is a good thing, then nothing you say will have any influence on him/her. Morals are such a dangerous area to be messing around with... because greed isn't necessarily bad and neither is competitiveness... these things are drives for people to come up with something new.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

when i was a kid, i found joy in killing tiny creatures; later, i was taught that every creature feels pain. This was the effect of value-based education.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm sorry to drop this bomb on you, but not everyone is like you... besides I just said that the correct amount of bad can be a good thing. If it wasn't for competition, our democracy wouldn't work. If it wasn't for competition our economy wouldn't work. If it wasn't for greed our economy wouldn't work. If it wasn't for laziness, so many things wouldn't have been invented. If it wasn't for murder, Japan wouldn't have surrendered to U.S. during WWII.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

how much problems these things have created for us? competition has become so ugly that people make friends as per use; greed has risen so much that things have lost its value and raised the price; in the name of laziness, so many people dont even do their daily activities like bathing, etc. Murders has result in the killing of so many people that minds are getting poisonous for revenge. Negative thinking is never useful; I know positivity is impractical but that doesnt mean that it is impossible.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yes, too much of these things are bad. But if you teach them as completely bad, then you won't have enough to do good....

by Anonymous 12 years ago

sorry kickass, but i am unable to understand your last comment; please try more precisely :)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You can't teach morals is the bottom line... because there are times when you have to make the call when a something morally bad, can have a positive out come. It's a persons call. I can't argue with you on this, because you're not being logical. You're saying competition and greediness have all these bad outcomes, but the only reason we're in the situation we are to over use them, is because we once used them properly.

logically/psychologically speaking, a mosquito cannot be educated but a man has the tendency to learn. Human posses the tendency to avoid the actions that causes sufferings.
