The purpose of the Air Force Space Surveillance System, or "Space Fence", is to detect, track and accurately measure orbital objects passing over America. The total cost of the program is about $3.5 billion. "Wasteful spending" is defined as spending that exceeds the agreements of the social contract between the people and the state. Now for the vote statement: The Space Fence is an example of wasteful spending, amirite?

I do not know enough information about the space fence to form a reasonable opinion. However, that is rather interesting.

Wouldn't that be under "defense"?
