Awesome band, they are way more accessible than most "indie" music, if you can even call them indie

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Shitty name, shitty music, shitty members, shitty fans, shitty band.

*openly contradicts post that everyone agrees on* *gives no reasoning*

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The reasoning is my opionion and someother shit which I will not go into for I am tired.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's actually just Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I know. That's why I didn't capitalize, "The."

by Anonymous 12 years ago

So the correct way to say it would be "You like Yeah Yeah Yeahs, amirite?"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The correct way to say it would be, "You like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, amirite?" Just like I have it. Nouns, including proper nouns, are preceeded by articles.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Um, no. You wouldn't say "you like the The Beatles." You wouldn't say "you like the Radiohead." Band names are just like people's names. If your name is Jack, people don't say "The Jack claims to know grammatical rules, but isn't quite sure about them." Since the band's name is "Yeah Yeah Yeahs," you call them "Yeah Yeah Yeahs."

The Beatles. THE Beatles. That's an article. And by your logic, we would say things like, "Did you like Radiohead concert last night?" Or, "The fans went crazy at Nirvana show."

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yes, the band name includes an article so you would use it in that case. And no. In those cases you need articles on the objects "concert" and "show," even though you wouldn't if the object was the band. In this case Radiohead and Nirvana modify other nouns.

Did they. Sing gold lion? Or do I have the wrong band?
