+117 It's not a good idea to have friends or significant others in senior pictures. The reality is in twenty years you probably won't dating the significant other or really talk to your friends, and it'll be awkward to look back upon, amirite?

But the whole point is to have memories of that time, as well as to cherish your relationships you've had.

So you should alienate yourself from friends you may not see again? I never look back at pictures of me and people I haven't seen in forever and think "This is awkward." If anything, I decide I should call them and see how they're doing.

I know a girl who used a picture of her and her boyfriend, and by the time her yearbook was published they had broken up. But, I feel like a yearbook is about memories and I want to see pictures of friends in 20 years.

Okay, so, maybe not friends. I wrote this post because two of my friends who are completely two-faced with each other are in each other's senior pictures. They have both said to me that they didn't want to associate with each other after high school because one pisses the other off and vice versa...but I also know a couple (like boyfriend/girlfriend) who got almost every single picture (within reason, not the actual yearbook photo) together, then broke up, so the girl is pissed. It's just my opinion.

The memories are still alive and you would be more mature so no awkwardness needed

What do you mean senior pictures? Because none of the senior pictures in my school show you with friends; it's always you by yourself.
