+367 When November hits, all the teenage girls start looking the same. Hollister sweatshirts. skinny jeans. Uggs. amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

As a teenage girl, I take offense to that. Some of us have a sense of fashion.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

"some"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Better than short jean shorts with tank tops and Uggs.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You could make blanket statements like that for any other season, and for both genders.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Fuck Hollister and skinny jeans, Walmart and sweatpants are the shit You also forgot to mention $300 Uggs

by Anonymous 12 years ago

$300? What fucking Uggs are those? Mine were only $190 with tax, and those are the tall ones most people buy.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Because $190 for shoes is sooo much more reasonable

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I've never owned or looked for a pair of Uggs, so I always assumed they were 30 dollars at most.... WHAT IS THIS PRICING?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I don't know....I love my wool plaid converse but I waited until I could get them on sale for like $60 The only time I woulde EVER pay that much for shoes is to replace my combat boots

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's not your money. If my parents can afford to buy me those shoes and not worry about it, then that's what they'll do. It's not you wearing them.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You sound like a spoiled ass bitch.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No, she sounds like a teenage girl who has parents who can actually afford to buy her nice things. What is so wrong with that? "Your parents buy you nice things? You spoiled bitch!" People are so cynical about teenagers having expensive clothing. Why do you even care what she wears? Like she said, it's not //you// who is wearing the clothes.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That's not what I said. The way she said it made her sound like a spoiled bitch. She said "mine were //only// $190 with tax". How about she could just have said that she owns Ugg boots? Gets the same point across, but instead she would just sound like a normal teenage girl.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The only reason she said how much her Ugg boots were is because somebody else said that Ugg boots were $300, when they are only $190, as she stated. The most she was doing was being correct, and using an example to prove her statement correct.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Thank you for the explanation. People are so quick to judge.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

To avoid being judged (since now she's complaining about people being quick to judge), she didn't have to sneak the word "only" in there. //That// was probably what made her sound so spoiled. If she had said something along the lines of "mine weren't $300" or "I didn't pay that much money for mine" it would've been fine. But stating the price and making it sound like it was a low price (by adding "only...") made her sound like a spoiled bitch.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

And you're making such a big deal about that? If I were you and I got upset about the way she stated how much her Uggs were, I would have ignored it, rather than post a comment that says she sounds like a spoiled bitch. My jeans that I'm wearing are from Abercrombie, and they were only $78. Does that make me a sound like a spoiled bitch too?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yes, it does.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Awesome, just what I was aiming for. y

http://m.uggaustralia.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-UGG-US-Site/default/mProduct-Show?pid=3395&dwvar_3395_color=BLK&start=4&cgid=women-boots Here are some nice 1000 dollar uggs.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I wouldn't buy any that expensive, but people who have money might buy them for their quality. People buy things tens of thousands of dollars. At least they're helping support an economy.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Quality my ass. Uggs are ugly, cloth pieces of crap. I can afford them as well but they are, in my most kind opinion, a fucking waste of money. Get your own sense of style rather than follow the group, my dear penguin.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

What's funny is that I don't "follow the group." I do have my own sense of style. You probably think all I wear is Hollister, Abercrombie, etc. Wrong.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You can't read my mind, so don't tell me what I'm thinking because you are wrong.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Uggs are made of sheepskin not cloth.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

And you think I care because...?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I got mine for $5 at Goodwill XD I hardly ever wear them, though...my usual winter clothes are bootcut jeans, a long-sleeved t-shirt, coat, and whatever shoes I feel like wearing :D

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Learn to use nicer words. Talking like a pig is never awsome

by Anonymous 7 years ago

I'm too poor for Holister, and too smart to waste my money on it even if I wasn't. And I don't wear skinny jeans, they make me look like a bird.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

lol I used to be obssessed with hollister and that crap but I realized that I just look like another drone that feels the need to let everyone know where they buy their clothes. My mother always says they should be paying you to advertise for them :P

by Anonymous 12 years ago

As as teenage girl I can honestly say that I am proud I don't own, nor wish to own, Hollister sweatshirts, skinny jeans, or Uggs.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Winter means peacoats, sweaters, jeans, and combat boots for me.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Combat boots :D

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yes! They're my favorite (:

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Skinny jeans in summer. That makes sense.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

November = fall in the US and Britain.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Right, because everyone on amirite is from the Northern hemisphere. Why not just say autumn?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Why not just use context clues and stop being a douche about something obvious?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Its all dependent on where you live.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I choose to dress chic.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

At my school, it's more like pea coats, scarves, and NICE boots (not Uggs).

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Please, let me join you! I'm stuck with the Ugg wearers... Knock offs, at that.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well, people do wear Uggs with skinny jeans and a sweatshirt at my school, but it's kind of seen as the equivalent of wearing gym shorts and sneakers in the summer; it's OK once a week of so, but any more often and people just think you're a lazy dresser.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

At my school, it's ACU's , Class B's, Class C's, and PT year round

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's funny cuz most people on this site are teenagers, and most of them are girls.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That's why I love my DeviantART sweatshirt, flares, and Converse ;)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I love how people start commenting about how they don't at Hollister, don't wear Uggs, etc. No one really cares what the fuck you wear in place of what the post says. Not wearing those brands certainly does not make you better than people who do.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

This.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The post makes a blanket statement, and those of us who are unjustly smothered by said blanket would like to point out the lack of validity. Chill the fuck out, bro.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I realize that, I'm not stupid. When I first saw the post, I didn't say anything, but then I saw an absurd amount of people acting 'holier-than-thou' for not wearing said clothes, so I decided to make a comment that simply stated how ridiculous it is to think you're better than someone else due to your clothing choices. So I think it's you who needs to chill the fuck out and don't mistake simple comments for hostility. (:

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Holier than though attitudes suck in any situation. It was the "no one gives a fuck" part that led me to believe you were being hostile. Forgive me if I was wrong, but thats generally a pretty good indicator.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Glad we agree about the attitudes. I used 'no one gives a fuck' to express my disdain towards people who sport said attitude, not to be hostile. I do understand what you're saying though.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Ahh, I see... Truce?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Haha sure.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

At my college it's North Face sweatshirts/jackets, Uggs, and spandex.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Spandex? Ew.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I think you mean leggings. :)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Guess what leggings are made of?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It doesn't matter what they're made out of, they're still called leggings. You don't call your shirts cotton.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Don't tell me what I call my shirts. You don't know me.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Tiz true

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yoga pants and uggs are even worse.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

We all start to look the same here because we're all wearing huge coats, scarves over our face, toques, and gloves. Canadians will pretty much die otherwise

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Whoever said ugg boots aren't nice (ali_d), they are! I hate a beautiful pair or ugg boots which were cheap to buy, stylish and incredibally confortable. So stop throwing around judgemental comments about clothing just because your body shape doesn't suit it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Stop throwing around unjustified body-shape comments just because somebody doesn't like your beloved boots.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I actually own a pair of Ugg boots that are very comfortable and of nice quality, but I only wear them when I'm having a lazy day and just want to wear something comfortable, or when I'm somewhere where it's so cold that nobody cares what you wear. What I meant when I said they weren't NICE was that they dress down an outfit rather than dress it up, not that they aren't nice quality. For $150, they better be nice quality.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Ugg boots are most likely one of the ugliest pair of shoes a person can own. After crocs and skeletoes.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

But they're just so comfortable!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

since when do girls where outfits for comfort?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

When I have my lazy days and I can't be bothered.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

yah, tht doesn't count as an outfit it's called: "tired" "sick" and "boyfriend broke up with me"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Super comfortable, keep you warm, and feel cozy too. Do you perhaps hate it because you can't afford a pair?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No, I hate it because it looks like your feet got stung by bees. Yes, they are comfortable, I've had them. But that doesn't change the fact that they are ugly as hell and that I would only wear them out of the house if I was straight up wearing pajamas.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I own bear paws, and I usually wear them on a lazy day for the same reason.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

i have a pair of uggs and they are extremely comfy and keep my feet warm but ive gotten other sheepskin boots that are just as good for $30 at Costco compared to 200 dollar uggs..

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Must be nice not living on an island where there is never ending wind and cold as fuck

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well I wear them for fashion too, I do think they can dress up winter wear, work with appropriate clothing ofcourse.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I wear all that, and I don't really care. Love being comfy.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

shut up omg no body cares where you got them or for how much.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I just got my first pair of Uggs and have been shopping at hollister it has nothing to do with other peoples decisions I do want I want I just have a lot in common with other people I'm not any richer than anyone else on here so it's not a money thing .I want to shop there and wear uggs so I only go when there are discounts and I'm fine don't get upset or judgemental just because I wear the same clothes as someone else it's my choice and my fashion so you can like it or go away it really doesn't matter
