Look down at your keyboard: Isn't it quite amazing that a certain combination of these 26 letters can produce such a variety of emotions like sadness, joy, or anticipation and that hundreds of years ago, someone sat down and wrote, using these same letters, a literary work that is marveled at even today? amirite?
When I first started reading this I thought it was going to be another Old Spice reference.
I'm more amazed by humans' capacity for language. How we have the ability to look at or hear any of thousands of words and we can recall their meaning and connotations within a fraction of a second.
Now I feel like I need to change the world or something instead of using it to comment "fapfapfap" on kpop videos.
Not that I do that or anything...
And I totally wasn't doing that to Super Junior's BONAMANA 5 minutes ago.
Look down at your dick: isn't it quite amazing that a certain combination of muscle and tissue can produce such a variety of emotions like disappointment, excitement or arousal and that thousands of years ago someone jacked off the same muscle and tissue and created a wonderful activity still done today.
There's a theory that if you give a monkey a keyboard and enough time, it will eventually produce any given text, such as the works of Shakespeare, just by hitting random keys.
I just found that really interesting and it seemed a little related
lets figure this out. shortest play by shakespeare was 1787 lines, and lets assume there was 30 characters per line. thats 53610 characters he has to get right. thats a one in 2,874,032,100 chance of being the same. so yes, it is technically possible given enough time and monkeys but astronomically unlikely.
That's the point. I think it describes the concept of infinity or something.
Does that include puntuation and spaces and everything?
It's unlikely if you only give him one chance, but given infinite time, it will happen.
I saw a play about that once.
I think ur thinking a little too deep into a computer keyboard. I'm really not that amazed
You used every letter except x.
Not really. 26 can make so many different letter combinations, it's really not all that amazing that they can express a variety of things.
Cute
*Cute.
Maybe she wasn't done talking?
